Osho Transformation Tarot

Throughout the centuries, the mystics and sages have used parables and stories to communicate their insights. They have understood that profound truths baldly stated often seem abstract and unattainable. But when these same truths are wrapped in a story they can slip more easily into the human heart, to be absorbed and reflected in our daily lives.
The Osho Transformation Tarot is a collection of timeless parables and teaching stories from the world’s great wisdom traditions, as told by the contemporary mystic Osho. These stories -- from Zen or Sufism, from the lives of Jesus, Buddha, or Lao Tzu -- are packaged as a set of cards with accompanying booklet. They are designed to be used as an inspiration and guide to the dilemmas and opportunities of everyday life.
Users of the deck can choose a card for the day and read the accompanying story as a theme for contemplation, or to gain insight into a specific question. Or, they can choose from a variety of simple layouts provided to explore the dynamics of a relationship or to investigate the underlying issues that are contributing to a significant life problem. The emphasis of the deck is not on prophecy or divination -- rather, it directs the user to the potential for transformation and renewal that is hidden in every aspect of daily life, if we only know where to look for it.

Q: I have an Osho Zen Tarot card deck that I’m still getting to know and understand. I was trying to match up the Major Arcana cards with the traditional tarot deck (Rider-Waite) and I’m not sure which is which.
~ Carla

A: Even though the Osho Zen Tarot is based on the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, most of the Major Arcana card names differ. Because the Osho Zen Tarot is a creative reinterpretation of the Rider-Waite Tarot, it isn’t always clear which Osho card corresponds to which Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot card. The Osho Zen Tarot usually comes with a book that makes it all quite clear, but if you don’t have the book, its easy to get lost!

Below I have matched up the Osho Zen Tarot cards to their Traditional Rider-Waite Major Arcana counterparts (Osho cards are in bold):

0 Fool – The Fool
1 The Magician – Existence
2 The High Priestess – Inner Voice
3 The Empress – Creativity
4 The Emperor – The Rebel
5 The Heirophant – No-Thingness
6 The Lovers – The Lovers
7 The Chariot – Awareness
8 Strength – Courage
9 The Hermit – Aloneness
10 The Wheel of Fortune – Change
11 Justice – Breakthrough
12 The Hanged Man – New Vision
13 Death – Transformation
14 Temperance – Integration
15 The Devil – Conditioning
16 The Tower – Thunderbolt
17 The Star – Silence
18 The Moon – Past Lives
19 The Sun – Innocence
20 Judgement – Beyond Illusion
21 The World – Completion
The Master
(This is just an extra Osho Zen Tarot card that is unique to this deck – there is no Rider-Waite equivalent)

Minor Arcana
Each Minor Arcana suit in the Osho Zen Tarot is represented by a different element
Pentacles – Rainbows
Swords – Air (grey)
Cups – Water (blue)
Wands – Fire (red)

Osho-Zen Tarot Review by Psychic Tedra The Osho-Zen tarot card deck is a wonderful and highly evocative spiritual tool. These cards have a way of stirring the intuition upon first glance and promptly extracting the truth from any situation in question. Keep an open mind and practice regular use of these cards. The Osho Zen Tarot instead focuses on gaining an understanding of the here and now. It is a system based on the wisdom of Zen, a wisdom that says events in the outer world simply reflect our own thoughts and feelings, even though we ourselves may be unclear about what those thoughts and feelings are. We are helped to turn our attention away. Food grade stainless steel chalice features the printed image of a Moon Goddess. The chalice stem has a molded sculptured design which adds a splash of elegance to the cups overall appeal. This chalice will add a touch of old world charm to any table or altar.
